Nicole Garton-Jones

Nicole Garton-Jones, founder and managing partner of Heritage Law,  is a lawyer, mediator and facilitator and practices wills, estates, elder and family law. Nicole has a particular interest in mediation, collaborative family law and facilitating business succession matters.

Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2001. Nicole has completed over 350 hours of mediation and facilitation training at UBC Law School, Continuing Legal Education BC, the Justice Institute of BC, the Mediate BC Society, and the Sauder School of Business in the Business Families Centre. She is a member of the Wills and Estates, Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections of the Canadian Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of BC, Collaborative Divorce Vancouver, the Civil and Family Rosters of Mediate BC, and the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise. Nicole is certified as a Family Mediation Canada Comprehensive Family Mediator and is also a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging. Nicole has been a guest instructor on Law Office Management, Wills and Estates and Mediation for the Law Society of BC Professional Legal Training Course.

Nicole founded and is the managing partner of Heritage Law, which has been described in the media as “one of the most streamlined, automated and forward thinking legal business models in Canada.” Nicole is on the boards of Continuing Legal Education BC and Inglewood Parent Participation Preschool. Nicole is the recipient of the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce 2010 Young Entrepreneur Award, the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch 2010 Work Life Balance Award and the Business in Vancouver Top Forty Under 40 Award.
